The School of Languages was established when the College began the School system in 2006. The School was carried out of the former Department of Arts and Islamic Studies when the College was operating the departmental system. Currently it has throe (3) departments. The courses of study offered in the departments are designed to meet the needs of the students at various areas of academic pursuits.
Below are courses available in the various departments:-
Department of Arabic
a. Diploma Arabic. English Sc. Islamic Studies.
b. Diploma Arabic. English & History,
c Diploma Arabic. Hausa History
The courses offered in the department are two years Diploma Programmes, The courses intend to prepare students to teach in Primary and Secondary Schools, particularly Arabic language and Islamic Studies. English Language. History and Government. The courses also train auxiliary staff in Judiciary and middle level manpower in foreign embassies and other similar sectors. In addition, the courses expose students to further education at higher levels.
Candidates seeking for admission into the courses must posses a minimum of three (3) credits in SSCE, NECO. WAEC, and T C. Grade II etc. two of the credits should be relevant to the courses of study.
Department of English
a Diploma English. Hausa & Education
b. Diploma English. Arabic & Education
c. Diploma English, Hausa & and Islamic Studies
The courses offered in the department are also two year Diploma Programmes, which aimed to prepare students to teach in Primary and Post- Primary Institutions, with particular emphasis to leaching English Language, Hausa Language and History or Government In addition the courses train auxiliary staff in the media, the Judiciary at translators./ interpreters, reporters and middle class manpower in the Public Sector. the courses propose lo providing research skills and exposure for further education at tertiary institution.
Applicants must posses a minimum of three (3) credits in WAEC, NECO. T.C. Grade II. SSCE and equivalent Two of the credits should be relevant to the courses of study.
Department of Nigerian languages
a. Diploma Hausa, Arabic Islamic Studies
b. Diploma Hausa. Arabic & English
c. Diploma Hausa. English & History
d. Diploma Hausa. Arabic & Education
The Department runs two year Diploma Programme in the courses mentioned above. The objectives of the courses under the department of Nigerian languages (Hausa) are similar to the objectives of courses run under the department of English.
The entry requirements for admissions into the courses under the above department are similar to those of the courses run under the department of English.

Candidates seeking for admission into any of the above courses must posses a Senior Secondary School (SSC). NECO. GCE “O’ Level or SSCE with four (4) credits at a maximum of two sittings including English Language and Mathematics. Two of the Credits must be relevant to the course applied for. Candidates with Grade II Teacher’s Certificate (TC II) with credit or merit in four (4) subjects including English and Mathematics will be considered. Two of the credits must be relevant to area of

Successful candidates in the Pre NCE final examination who obtain a minimum Cummulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 1.5 shall qualify to be admitted into the NCE Programme.
